For those who may be unaware, North Carolina-born rapper J Cole recently launched a documentary series, Road To Homecoming. The mini-series comes ahead of an upcoming HBO special, Forest Hill Drive: Homecoming, set to air on January 9 2016.
The third instalment of the series ahs just been released, and it features a few familiar faces. This episode follows J Cole around on the Dreamville ‘Dollar & A Dream’ Tour, offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at action on the road – including a number of stressful, tumultuous. Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Wale and A$AP Ferg add some extra star power to this episode, talking up J Cole and watching him perform. “This is the shit they’re gonna remember forever,” swooned Rihanna.
The series has so far followed J Cole around the country on tour, spending time with fans, visiting his childhood home, interview footage and more.
On the idea behind the series itself, Cole shared an open letter via Twitter explaining its conception:

Titled This Is What You Wanted, the third episode follows on from Fuck Money, Spread Love and Ain’t Nothing Like That.
