FALLON

WATCH: Jimmy Fallon and Star Wars Cast Perform A Capella Medley

Excited, we are most.

To celebrate this week’s LONG AWAITED release of the highly anticipated Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Jimmy Fallon has teamed up with his house band The Roots and members of the film cast to bring you the a capella medley of the year.

Singing a medley derived from the epic, immediately recognisable cinema soundtrack by composer John Williams, Fallon and The Roots are joined by a variety of cast members, including cameos from Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and a particularly impressive baritone solo for Imperial March by Adam Driver.

The medley begins with the grand opening fanfare, before sweeping through a variety of choice cuts from across the movies, including Cantina Band (ft. R2-D2 and C-3PO) and the closing credits theme.

Add in a shot of Fallon and The Roots dressed as Storm Troopers and a brief appearance by Chewbacca and you have one of the great internet moments of 2015. Watch the full video below.

It’s been another jam packed year for Jimmy Fallon, and this is only the latest in an endless string of lip sync contests, a capella performances, revealing interviews and more.

This latest offering just proves that The Force is with Fallon and his team as they move forward into 2016.
