Ending 2015 with a bang, Busta Rhymes has released an explosive new mixtape, featuring an all-star smorgasbord of guests from across the hip-hop landscape, including MF DOOM, Mary J Blige, Chance the Rapper, Raekwon, Rick Ross, BJ the Chicago Kid, Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, and yes, Q-Tip.
Titled The Return of the Dragon: The Abstract Went on Vacation, this is Busta’s first release since 2013, when he teamed up with Q-Tip for The Abstract And The Dragon.

It’s one of those releases where you’re really not sure why it’s been labelled a mixtape, when it really does feel like an album. Considering the star-studded guest list, the title of ‘album’ really feels like it holds more weight to it, but hey, it’s Busta’s decision.
Although it’s been a while since Busta released his own music, he’s not been a total ghost of late. Earlier this year we saw him collaborate with Raekwon and French Montana on Wall to Wall, and he recently performed a remix of his track with A Tribe Called Quest, Scenario, at Hot 97’s Hot For The Holidays concert (which he was also hosting) alongside Tribe and members of his old group Leaders of the New School.
