LISTEN: New Anderson .Paak for Your Aural Pleasure

Anderson .Paak certainly knows how to ride a wave of success. Hot on the heels of his breakout performance on Dr Dre‘s Compton release, .Paak has continued to release a steady stream of music, both in his solo venture and as one half of the Nxworries duo, who debuted the new track Link Up late last week.

The esteemed company that .Paak has been keeping lately certainly shows no signs of slowing down, as the California singer/rapper/songwriter has recruited none other than Cali legend The Game and soulful songstress Sonyae Elise for the sultry track, Room in Here. When The Game isn’t dealing with the idiocy of Stitcheshe is helping to establish the catalogue of one of the most promising voices in the game to date, and his rugged flow surprisingly complements the jazzy-soulful vibe that .Paak exudes so effortlessly.

.Paak himself has previously linked up with Schoolboy Q for Am I Wrongand is already showing the strength in his versatility as an artist. The ability to work and gel with some many different styles of rapper is testament to the potential, natural talent and promise of this newcomer.

You can hardly blame Anderson .Paak for staying on his grind non-stop since the release of Compton; his vocal performances were scattered amongst a plethora of tracks on the album and undoubtedly stole the show amongst what was a stellar ensemble of MCs. The Aftermath label and an association with none other than a stalwart and legend of the game in Dr Dre has catapulted .Paak into the spotlight, and by the looks of his talent and his work ethic, he isn’t going anywhere for the foreseeable future.
