The past few months there has been mostly bad news surrounding the Maybach Music Group boss, Rick Ross. Ross is in the midst of some legal troubles, facing kidnapping, assault and battery charges and a lawsuit involving a woman accusing a member of his entourage of rape. He is also in the middle of the bickering between Maybach artists Wale and Meek Mill, and I hesitantly mention his ongoing and super lame social media beef with 50 Cent. However, none of this seems to faze Ross, aka Ricky Rozay, as he is dropping new tracks and remixes nearly every week. Maybe the once-called-fraud Rozay thinks the long string of criminal charges will somehow assist in proving to everyone he is not the aforementioned fraud?
Ross is clearly still focused on releasing music, letting fans know December 4 is the day Black Market will drop. It is safe to quote him on this date as he not only has released the track listing, but also a lavish cinematic trailer featuring Ross and all his usual spoils – a Rolls Royce, cash, guns and sunglasses. Check it out below.
The new project will feature 17 tracks and include guest appearances by Nas, DJ Premier, Cee-Lo Green, Future, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, John Legend, Chris Brown and The-Dream. Surprisingly, there are no Maybach artists listed.
We have also been treated to the third track off the album, One Of Us, featuring Nas.
Ross recently dropped the video for lead single Sorry, which features a cameo from Lira Galore his (ex?)-ex-fiance. You can watch that here.
Black Market is Ross’ second album release this year following Black Dollar released back in September.
