Prince Launched His Own Instagram Account Full Of Memes

Last year, he deleted all his social media accounts and removed his music videos from YouTube. He was quoted saying that the Internet is “completely over”. Now, Prince has repaired his relationship with the Internet by starting his own Instagram account.

The verified account has photos of live shows, magazine covers and other publicity shots and plenty of Prince-related memes, because of course it does. It seems we may have underestimated his Purple Highness and his #internet skills.

“WHEN BAE GETS SLICK”…..

With this now being out there in the world, it seems Prince was only really against the idea of using social media and the Internet to promote and sell music. “I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it, and then they get angry when they can’t get it,” he said.

He continues with his detain for electronic devices: “All these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.” Unless, of course, those numbers are the amount of memes with you featuring in them – obviously. Although he doesn’t have the best history with social media and today’s technology, he seems to enjoy Instagram. He’s posted a whopping 88 times in three days, starting with the most iconic first Instagram post ever which you can see below. It’s unsure whether he will keep this posting rate up, but if the quality of posts stays this high, we’re actually kind of okay with it.

When Prince had a Facebook account, he participated in a short Q&A. It lasted one question. Let’s hope he keeps his Instagram account going, for the sake of his excited fans.
