Passerine, with their forward thinking electronica mixed with powerful soul, are just about to wrap up a national tour in celebration of their latest single. Titled Look Up, the Melbournian trio have somehow managed to intertwine a lot of influences and styles into a sound that is like nothing we’ve heard before.
With leading lady Phoebe Dubar’s sensational pipes, Ben Murphy’s progressive production and Alex Gooding’s high intensity drumming, Passerine hold it down with their modern flair whilst still throwing back to 90’s era electronica. Drawing on inspiration from the likes of Gold Panda and Four Tet, we can pretty much bet you haven’t heard anything like this before.
We wanted to get to know the trio a little bit more, so we asked them all about their favourite songs. From what they cook to, to what makes them cry, they certainly delivered one hell of a playlist. Check the mix below for yourself and head along to their remaining tour dates!
