Arguably Australia’s favourite New Year’s events, Falls Music & Arts Festival and Southbound Festival, are back for another year. Boasting an international lineup with mammoth acts like Foals, Disclosure and Bloc Party at the helm, alongside some of the best Australia has to offer, it’s a real treat for anyone who can make it to Byron Bay, Lorne, Marion Bay or Busselton for Southbound punters for three or four days. Trust us – we guarantee you’ll have a killer time.
Luckily for you folks, most of the acts on the Falls lineup are pretty intent on bringing the show to you anyway. So without further ado, we are excited to present the first run of 2016 Falls Festival sideshows:
Well, we don’t need to say much about Foals that we haven’t already said. They’re the best indie rock band in the world and What Went Down only reinforced our feelings. Anyone who saw them at their last-minute Splendour 2014 set knows it.
The brotherly duo of Guy and Howard Lawrence dropped their long-awaited sophomore album Caracal last week. Check out our review here. Last in town for 2014’s Stereosonic, the boys will be back to bring in the new year.
