WATCH: Run the Jewels Perform at Banksy’s Dismaland “Bemusement Park”

It might not be the Six Flags amusement park that Killer Mike has dreamt of playing at since his days of sneaking into its teen club, but performing at Banksy’s Dismaland marks Run The Jewels’ first NBA Championship of gigs. In a (now-deleted) Instagram post, Mike actually compared the feeling of performing last Friday (and receiving an original Banksy piece) to an emotional Michael Jordan winning his first championship with the Bulls. Watch clips of Run The Jewels’ performance and see Killer Mike and El-P’s Instagram documentation of their experience here:

As you can see from the images, Banksy’s biggest art installation to date is quite the spectacle. Considering the part-surreal, part-socio-political agenda that Run The Jewels promote, it’s no surprise that they fit the project like a glove.

A number of great artists, including Stones Throw head honcho Peanut Butter Wolf, have already hit the stage at Dismaland, and there are still plenty to follow:

Friday, September 18: Savages and Sleaford Mods
Friday, September 25: Pussy Riot, Kate Tempest, and Massive Attack

If I lived on that side of the planet, nothing would stop me from checking out both days of those artists – not to mention having a go at some of the eerie attractions like the Water Cannon Creek, Guerrilla Island, Grim Reaper-themed bumper cars and a book-burning fire pit.
