Rufus drops new single ‘Like An Animal’

Continuing in their vein of unfettered electronic excellence, Sydney trio RÜFÜS have just released their latest single Like An Animal. Released with an accompanying video, the interplay of milky swirls and superimposed silhouettes of dancing revellers are the perfect accompaniment to the ethereal brainmelt.

Adhering to their well-trialled aesthetic of floaty synths and tight rhythms, the song lets your brain melt warmly into the back of your skull as you gently recline into a sultry and relaxing journey of feel-good beats. The icy and crisp production smacks of Berlin, where the song was most likely created, after RÜFÜS’ announced they were heading the German Capital to record their next album.

The follow up to You Were Right, released back in June, the new single is just a taste of what’s to come from RÜFÜS’ forthcoming EP, their first since 2013’s critically acclaimed Atlas. Since its release, the boys have had a relentless tour schedule, appearing at almost every major Australian festival in recent years to cater for the enormous following they’ve accrued since their debut in 2011.
