Maribou State announce Australian tour dates

Maribou State have been paving a solid road for themselves over the past couple years or so. Earlier this year saw the highly anticipated release of their debut album Portraits, to huge critical acclaim. Released via Counter Records, an imprint of the ever-brilliant Ninja Tune, it’s deep, lush, and frankly just beautiful.

Better known to some as Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, the Hertfordshire duo are on the up and up. Coming to attention with remixes of artists like Lana Del Rey, Four Tet, Fatboy Slim and George Maple, it wasn’t long before their original tracks grabbed the world’s attention. Not only are Maribou State making music that’s easy on the ears (and dancing feet), but it’s fresh, unique, and packed full of real emotion.

The warm soundscapes and expansive atmospheres are anchored down by solid dance-floor ready beats – and it’s the kind of stuff that sounds so damn good live. So, luckily for us, the duo are getting set to bring their honey-sweet beats to the balmy Australian shores. They’ll be visiting Perth as well as the east coast this November – and we highly recommend that you grab yourself a ticket quick stat.

Supporting Maribou State will be Melbourne artists Kllo.

Dates:

Wed 11 Nov: Woolly Mammoth, Brisbane
Thu 12 Nov: Oxford Art Factory, Sydney
Fri 13 Nov: Shadow Electric, Melbourne
