We’ve been hanging out for the debut EP from Brisbane artist JOY. for a while. Now, only days after the release of Ode, we’re getting a national headline tour, too. JOY., you’re spoiling us.
Really, its been a pretty big year for JOY. She’s been a Triple J Unearthed feature artist and subsequently performing at the leg of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in her home city, released her debut EP, Ode and supported Miami Horror on their national tour.
About Us, is the lead single from her EP and a track you’ve no doubt heard. The song has hit an impressive 100k streams on Soundcloud since it was uploaded, along with a #6 position on HypeMachine and 150k plays on Spotify. These stats, matched with a number of glowing reviews from not only media outlets here in Australia, but also overseas, the young vocalist/producer has every reason to be going on her own headline tour. Adding to her busy schedule, JOY. will be showcasing at this year’s BIGSOUND conference in Brisbane.
