Black Sabbath announce The End world tour

The founding fathers of heavy metal, Black Sabbath, have just announced that they will be embarking on one ‘final’ world tour before wrapping up their career entirely.

The Ozzy Osbourne-fronted rock band have enjoyed more than four decades of musical success, and have gone on to be considered one of the most important bands in rock and metal history. Sure, they’re not exactly heavy or even metal by today’s standards, but their role in shaping the way we listened to heavy music and rock ‘n roll could not be underestimated.

Black Sabbath’s last album 13, came out back in 2011, which saw them tour the world extensively. Now, they’ve said that the forthcoming ‘The End Tour’ will “surpass all previous tours with their most mesmerising production ever.” The current tour dates kick off the USA in January, followed by Aus and New Zealand dates in April. More will apparently be announced.

The live lineup will consist of core members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, along with drummer Tommy Clufetos, playing in Bill Ward’s place.

You can check out the hilariously cheesy announcement video right here and check out the tour dates and ticket details below:
