Big Daddy Kane announces Meredith sideshows

One of the biggest draw-cards on this year’s Meredith Music Festival bill, LEGENDARY hip hop artist Big Daddy Kane has announced a small run of Australian sideshows for those unable to make it to the ‘Sup. Kane, real name Antonio Hardy, will be taking to the stage for two very special shows in Sydney and Melbourne this December.

One of the true veterans of the genre, Big Daddy Kane has been around since the mid-1980s – the very foundations of hip hop as we know it. Kane boasts a hugely impressive string of records, awards, collabs with the likes of Public Enemy and Ice Cube, not to mention a full range of writing credits records under his belt. He’s not only critically revered, but his peers consider him one of the most important figures in the genre.

While he hasn’t really released any new music in nearly two decades, his legacy remains huge. Widely considered to be one of the greatest MCs of all time, these shows – his first EVER in Australia – will be a really exciting experience for those lucky enough to get a ticket to the relatively intimate venues.
