Sticky Fingers sell out Sydney show (that they didn’t even announce)

It didn’t take much. They didn’t even announce it. Yesterday an event popped up on Facebook and quickly spread like wildfire for the announcement of a Sydney show for local legends Sticky Fingers at the Enmore Theatre. Fast forward one day, and it appears that without even an official announcement, (almost) all tickets have sold out. The concert will be a homecoming of sorts and will also celebrate their latest single Liquorlip Loaded Gun.

However, the situation may not be as dire as first thought. It appears that there is (or was) some kind of glitch with the Ticketek website, and even though it says “Allocation Exhausted”, once you click through you can purchase seating tickets (although by the time you read this they may have sold out as well). However, for all those keen for a mosh, unfortunately it seems all the standing tickets have already been snapped up.

Unbelievably, it’s actually the second time Sticky Fingers have achieved this feat – after they managed to completely sell out a headlining tour in March by just posting the details on the respective venue’s website without a single dollar spent on promotion.

Currently the boys are heading across North America, and their Enmore gig will be a homecoming of sorts, before completing a handful of festivals such as the first year of ThisThat festival on the Newcastle foreshore. So if you missed out on Enmore, head to ThisThat. But likewise, tickets are quickly selling out with just 2000 left so get in quick.
