Flight Facilities Added To Local Queensland Festival

Although we love ourselves the major festivals (we are still recovering from Splendour In The Grass) there is something about a local or boutique festival that gets our hearts racing.

The Maroochy Music & Visual Arts Festival is one such festival, promoting and highlighting creative arts in the community of the Sunshine Coast, as well as delivering one of the biggest and best lineups of Australian talent. The inaugural event had snapped up quite a bit of attention with the initial announcement that the likes of HermitudeHiatus KaiyoteDZ Deathrays and Alpine would be hitting the Horton Park Golf Course come August, but excitement reached fever pitch when the Secret Headliner was revealed last week.

Continuing the biggest 12 months of their careers, electronic pioneers Flight Facilities will also be performing on the night. The pair have toured the world, melting minds and hearts with their debut album Down To Earth and their electrifying live show. One half of the duo, Jimmy Lyell, said of the boys being added to the lineup, “Festivals weren’t really around when I was growing up on the Coast, so being a part of something like this is really special to me. Not to mention how much fun playing a hometown show with all my friends is going to be!

Tickets are absolutely flying out the proverbial door, so do not delay any longer if this takes your fancy (and why wouldn’t it?!) There are more details on that here, and if you need any more convincing, just try not to boogie to the track below!
