There’s been a stack of news out of the City Calm Down camp this morning; we’re talking a new single, a video and a national tour. Since releasing their EP Movements back in 2012, the four-piece have enjoyed massive success and have gone on to play support slots for a slew of acts including CHVRCHES, alt-j and Bombay Bicycle Club.
Overnight, the video for the Melbourne band’s new single Wandering premiered on US blog Consequence of Sound. Wandering opens softly with tentative piano chords with the song going on to build to crescendo. Casey, a young boy who is alone in a shadowy room, lip-synchs the lyrics, offsetting the resonant baritone of Jack Bourke’s voice in the video.
Wandering follows lead single Rabbit Run as the second taste off the upcoming debut album In A Restless House, which is due out November 6th via killer local label I OH YOU. The band are headed out on their first national headline tour in October in support of the album.
