Splendour in the Grass may be just over, but it’s time to start thinking about festival season. In a world of struggling clubs, venues and festivals, it’s always so exciting to see something new rise from the ashes and spread its beautiful wings. Today Newcastle’s THIS THAT festival announced their full lineup on triple j, and it is absolutely huge.
With two stages, splitting the artists into bands and electronic acts – there’s something for everyone. From RÜFÜS and Birds of Tokyo to Baauer (who will hopefully do some sneaky sideshows alongside the festival) and Carmada, the lineup is stacked with local and international talent.
But it’s not just about the tunes. Alongside THIS and THAT is THE OTHER. Made up of “an artisan market that would put Etsy to shame.. performances and interactivity” alongside “a hand picked array of primo eats, plus craft beers and other delectable beverages”, THIS THAT is a festival of all your senses.
THIS THAT will be graving the Newcastle foreshore on October 31st. Pre-sale registration is now open here, and you’d better get in quick, because this is sounding too good to not be a sell out show. Check out their Facebook page for some more details, and peep the whole lineup below.
