Admittedly, Juñor only popped up on my radar when we premiered a different track from fellow hip hop up-and-comer Lostkeyz recently. He mastered the track, and it only takes one listen to realise he is definitely one to keep an eye on. Add that to the fact that he is the DJ for one of the more prominent breakthrough Australian hip hop stars of late, Ivan Ooze, and his resume really speaks for itself.
However, somehow in between all the work he does for other people, he has managed to create his own body of work. Due out this Friday, July 31, his EP Fluorescent Connections is more than just your standard collection of tracks. It’s a considered, thoughtful and planned out release where everything has more than a one dimensional meaning. It also makes sense then, to accompany the release, Juñor (part of the Real Music fam) has also compiled a full visual stream to accompany all 19 minutes of the EP – and we have the first look of that right here.
Visually and aurally stimulating, the Fluorescent Connections video is one hell of a ride, and is captivating from start to finish. Juñor represents the new era in Australian hip hop, and reels you in with his other-worldly lyrics, mysterious beats and enthralling visuals.
