Northeast Party House are some pretty busy dudes. Between playing a plethora of shows (seriously, its like they never stop) around the country and gearing up to head overseas for their Later Straya Tour (London is calling, along with the rest of the UK, Europe and the US), they’ve been in the studio working on material for album number two.
Certainly what you could call “hotly anticipated”, the excitement surrounding a follow up to Northeast Party Houses’ 2014 blitzer Any Given Weekend has been nothing short of infectious. Last night that excitement culminated with the band’s first new single (which we hope hints are more to come) in quite some time, Perfect Lines, being premiered by Dom Alessio on Triple J. Perfect Lines is a raucous track, lead by gritty guitars and an intense rhythm section, while Zach Hamilton-Reeves’ distinctive vocals are supported by some damn fine backing harmonies. If this is anything to go by, album number two from Northeast Party House is going to be a beast, which we’re bound to get a bigger taste of at their upcoming shows, where they’ll have support from a number of other stellar local acts.
