Run the Jewels legends El-P and Killer Mike recently learned that with the Internet, anything is possible. One’s fan simple dream to have the duo remix Run the Jewels 2 with “all cat sounds for the music” is coming true, with the funding goal of $45,100 met.
Killer Mike and El-P unwittingly agreed to the challenge, potentially underestimating what can be achieved by crazy people with a bank roll and a kickstarter campaign. The target was met with 12 days to spare, and the balance now sits at over $65,000, with all profits going to a charity that will support the families of Eric Garner and Mike Brown, two men who have been victims of police related violence.
that said, LETS KEEP GOING! we still have 12 days to contribute and all the profit will go towards charity! https://t.co/X251yy5I9M

The first cut off Meow The Jewels (excuse me while I just sit and giggle on those words for a minute) is exactly as promised. Meowrly (a remix of Early) kicks off with some shrieking cat noises and has a certain charm that may vary depending on your feelings about feline based psychedelia being mixed in with your hip hop.
The remainder of cat-based remixes could be hitting the airwaves at any minute, and you can check out a taste of the much anticipated next album here.
