CHVRCHES have finished recording their latest album

It’s been almost two years since CHVRCHES has released anything, but that’s about to change very soon. Over the weekend, the group posted a photo to Instagram that fans of the Scottish electro-pop group will be absolutely delighted to see.

We’ve heard brief bits and pieces about Chvrches being in the studio, ever since they first announced, via social media, that they were working on their follow-up to the glistening The Bones of What You Believe in September 2013.

Don’t forget, this doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing it any time soon! Keyboardist Iain Cook has said, “We’re not going to put out anything we aren’t happy with. That could take four months, it could take two years.”

When we first announced the news of Chvrches working on their new album, we estimated that Splendour in the Grass 2015 might be the next time that they’ll grace our shores. Considering they once managed a huge 365 shows in two years following their last release, we can only keep our fingers crossed in hope that their tour will include an Australian visit!

The capital letters say everything that we’re feeling – mega mega excitement. Though we still don’t have a name or a release date, one would assume that the album would be out by the end of the year. If it’s anything like the group’s first release The Bones of What You Believe, which received massive critical acclaim, then we should be in for a real treat.

Keep eyes locked on their Instagram to make sure you don’t miss any more juicy updates.
