Whilst most presidential candidates are content with kissing babies and taking selfies with harmless supporters in preordained meetings, political aspirant Waka Flocka Flame has gone the extra mile to promote his candidacy. The rapper, who boasts the likes of Seth Rogen on his payroll (as his professional joint roller ICYMI), managed to stop a fight at one of his gigs and force the two combatants to hug it out. And he didn’t do it from the safety of the stage, daring to come between the two in one of the most hands-on acts of pacifism ever seen in politics.
Here it is:
If you’re curious what policy platforms the Flocka Flame government will stand for, here is Rolling Stone‘s #WakaForPresident campaign video (SPOILER: if you don’t smoke weed, your life will be largely unaffected unless you have overly large feet)
But for those of us that have been swept up in the whirlwind that is the Waka Flocka Flame candidacy, the sad truth is that Waka is not eligible, for no other reason than his age. A candidate must be a minimum of 35 years old, meaning that we may have to wait another two terms for a Rapping Prez. Still, Waka Flocka Flame, Times’ Man of the Year, 2022 has a bit of a ring to it.
And because we can’t get enough of the zany world of Waka, here is one of the most bizarre ads you will ever see, starring Waka Flocka and his favourite brand of (softish) throat lozengers. Aired during the AMA awards night, Waka’s red eyes indicate that he really got into the character of his throat-inflamed self. We can say with some confidence that it’s the best ad for a throat drop that you are ever going to see.
