Today is a happy, but also sad, day for all Death Grips fans.
The good news is their new album Jenny Death is now available to stream via YouTube. It was leaked today, eleven days before it was due to be released.
The bad news is the album may be their last ever. Probably not though – their music is great, but ‘honest,’ ‘kind to their fans’ and ‘predictable’ are not traits they’ve ever displayed.
After their break-up last year, Death Grips decided to release a double album The Powers That B. Jenny Death is part of that. However, there are a few hints that this isn’t the last we’ll see from them including a post on their Facebook page, saying “you’re right, we might make some more” and the name of the final track Death Grips 2.0.
Is a reinvention in the works for Death Grips?
Check out their album on YouTube and let us know what you think. The first track I Break Mirrors With My Face In The United States is below.
If you don’t want to stream it, you can purchase the album via Third Worlds/ Harvest Records on March 31.
