2014 was massive for electronic music, and for two guys in particular. Hailing from Seattle, ODESZA were relatively unknown this time last year, but with the release of smash hit Sun Models, and their subsequent album In Return – how times have changed!
Touring the world with their excellent live show, ODESZA have catapulted into the stratosphere of the electronic world, and you can hear their unique influence everywhere. Sold out shows have become a regular thing for them, and they are set to appear at just about every festival everywhere this coming season. It’s really a testament to their drive and passion that they are capable of pushing on, let alone what this next chapter will hold!
That’s right, Harrison and Clayton can now add “label head” to their already huge resume, with the announcement of the launch of Foreign Family Collective. Described as “an outlet for musicians and visual artists alike”, Foreign Family Collective is to be curated by the guys to find and foster up-and-coming artists.
Of course, the first release is awesome. How could it be anything else? Troy Samuela and Monsoonsiren have teamed up for a gorgeous new track, Fiend. Both artists are no strangers to ODESZA either – the former recently released a remix for All We Need, and the latter features on Memories That You Call. Both tremendous songs, with Fiend also falling in that category, having already clocked up 42 000+ plays in ONE DAY! You can hear it below.
Fiend is available now.
