Brodinski’s top ten Atlanta rap tracks

French electronic producer Brodinski has recently cemented himself as a pioneer, combining rap with electronic in a way not many before him have been able to conquer. Coming off the back of work producing for Kanye West and Theophilus London, his recently released album Brava is a blistering, powerful foray into, in his own words, a “new kind of music.”

Atlanta, Georgia is a well-known hub for some of the best hip hop acts over the past few decades, and Brodinski’s penned his top ten Atlanta rap tracks:

1. Gucci Mane, Colors
Probably my favorite Gucci Mane track ever, it’s a classic for me. Off the WILT CHAMBERLAIN mixtape series.

2. Andre 3000, She Lives In My Lap
3 Stacks from Outkast did one of my favorite song ever. Listen to the whole album (Speakerboxx / The Love Below), it’s a master piece.

3. Black Portland, Suck Me Up
Ola Playa joins Young Thug & Bloody Jay for this track on their Black Portland common project. I had the chance to work with Bloody Jay on my album and he’s an amazing person and artist!

4. Young Thug, Chickens (Prod. London On Tha Track)
Difficult to choose only one Young Thug track but I remember being obsessed with this one when it came out and I still love it.

5. Casino, Eazy (Prod. DJ Mustard)
Casino is affiliated with FBG and Future. It’s produced by the infamous Dj Mustard from LA, this one is perfect for clubs!

6. Gucci Mane, Scholar
As I said, Gucci Mane is my favorite rapper… Guwop (one of his nickmane) is for me the Trap God, the biggest figure in Atlanta since 10 years.

7. Rich Homie Quan, Water
Taking a break of the Rich Gang project he formed with Birdman & Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan come back alone with this track talking about water. We all need some.

 8. Future, Nunbout ft. Cooley (prod. Zaytoven)
This one is taken from his mixtape Astronaut Status that came out in 2012. Future and the producer Zaytoven are one of the best tag-team in Atlanta.

9. Peewee Longway, Cheetah Print
Peewee is one of my favourite rappers since a while now, and I especially like this one, which includes a James Bond theme sample. Longway Longway.

10. Johnny Cinco, No Trust
I love Johnny’s Voice, and I think this track is his most achieved work. People call him the hood Drake.
