#1 Dads cover FKA twigs, Announce Final Tour

One of the most exciting acts to come out of 2014 was, and is, #1 Dads. The side project of Tom Iansek, one half of Big Scary and producer of Slum Sociable, Airling, Art Of Sleeping, Hockey Dad and so many more, sung it’s way straight into the hearts of Australia with his beautifully crafted tunes and breathtaking live show.

Nominated for a J Award and in the AMP shortlist, #1 Dads’ debut record About Face was one of the biggest Australian releases of last year, which made it no surprise that tickets were hard to come by for his January headline shows. Now, with the announcement that Big Scary will be regrouping for their third album, Iansek has also announced one last run of shows before packing up the project for good. He will be joined by a full band, and will be bringing newcomers Slum Sociable on the road as well.

However, it’s not all bad news. Iansek and his band soften the blow a little with a tremendous cover of FKA twigs‘ chart topping track Two Weeks for the most recent instalment of triple J‘s Like A Version.
