SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE TURNS 40

Next week Saturday Night Live will celebrate its 40th year on air, and in true SNL style the celebrations will be excessive. The three-hour long special will air on February 15th and there are some rather big names being thrown around. Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Paul Simon and Justin Timberlake are just a few of the acts set to appear on the special.

The show will also host a variety of the cast members from over the last four decades, as well as some of the most memorable hosts, namely Christopher Walken, Tom Hanks and Alec Baldwin.

The event is so momentous that SNL are even releasing an app dedicated to the celebrations. This will include a set of all new SNL-themed emoji’s (think ‘Conehead’ and ‘Dick in a Box’). The anniversary is also set to be honoured with ‘Saturday Night Live: An Exhibition’ which will display many of the shows most memorable items, including original scripts, costumes, props and much more. This will take place in New York City’s Premier on 5th exhibition center.
