Run The Jewels Get Animated, Wear Nixon Masks in New Clip

Killer Mike and El-P, otherwise known as Run The Jewels have just released a visual feast of a film clip for their track Lie, Cheat, Steal. Directed by Ruff Mercy (Young Thug‘s Old EnglishDisclosure‘s F For You), the clip sees the pair rapping in front of a graffiti mural, and features some wicked animations, as well as the pair wearing Richard Nixon masks. Take a look for yourself!

Lie, Cheat, Steal is one of the stand out tracks on Run The Jewels’ second LP, Run The Jewels 2 which was released to critical acclaim last year.

Interestingly, the graffiti featured in this clip was done as part of the duo’s “Tag The Jewels” project, which encouraged street artists to “remix” the album’s cover art (you can see the full gallery HERE).

Run The Jewels were recently in the country for Falls Festival, and we were lucky enough to have a chat with them whilst they were here! If you were one of the unlucky ones to miss their incredible live show, you’re in luck! Killer Mike and El-P are currently the subject of an interactive documentary by BBC, where you can see their recent show in London from the best seat in the house – your home.
Ah, the future.
