The Farmer & The Owl Festival Lineup is INCREDIBLE

Fancy a trip to Woollongong for a weekend?

Farmer & The Owl Festival is back, with a lineup like no other. Featuring the absolute cream of the Australian crop, the day event in march is seriously not to be missed.

Seriously, if you’re looking for a list of Australia’s best rock bands, this is it. Among the choice names include Bad//Dreems to DZ Deathrays, Richard in Your Mind, Spookyland, The Peep Tempel, Hockey Dad, Step-Panther and more, so get ready for some serious head bangin’ and body movin’. Bass Drum of Death lead the international guests, while Jebediah are on board to serve up a little late ‘90s nostalgia.

One really cool fact about this event is that the first release tickets are on a “Pay What You Like” scheme, where, well, you can pay what you like. The second and third release prices are as normal ($69 and $79), but it’s a pretty great concept, arranged in response to “the over-commercialisation of music and the arts.”

If that’s not enough, the festival have announced a concept called The Imaginarium – “an uninhabited world of unique and vibrant creativity,” created by enlisting bands, visual artists, digital projectionists and more for the event. “The view is to… leave everyone who attends with his or her minds blown through sensory overload.” Hmmm, sounds like they have a pretty trip-tastic day in mind!

All in all, it really does seem like one ridiculously good reason to head to Wollongong for the weekend. See you there!
