When TNGHT confirmed that they were going on a temporary hiatus in late 2013, we all gave a collective sigh. The duo made up of Hudson Mohawke (Ross Bichard) and Lunice (Lunice Pierre) achieved global acclaim in their two years together, despite having only released one EP, one single, and a couple of remixes.
Now, RL Grime (also known as Henry Steinway) has resurrected TNGHT’S only single Acrylics, adding a whole lot more firepower to it. Coming off the back of his new album Void, Steinway has added that huge snare we know and love and made Acrylics even spookier than before. The producer enhanced the eerie chimes of a twisting ballerina, resulting in those murky haunted house vibes. The drop has been summer up perfectly by one comment on the Soundcloud track: “YO DAWG, THIS SHIT BANGS.”
