We’ve just stumbled upon something called Forgotify. Turns out it has been around since the start of 2014, but I’ve never heard of it, and I think it’s awesome, so I felt the need to share it here today.
Apparently around 20% of songs on Spotify have zero plays. Forgotify aims to change that.
Forgotify finds all the songs (apparently there’s more than four million of them) which have ZERO Spotify plays, and plays them for you.
It ONLY plays tracks that have never been played, meaning that once you’ve played them, they won’t be on the site anymore. At least I think that’s how it works.
You have to be logged in to Spotify to use it, and it’s definitely worth it.
Turns out, much like the internet, there’s a lot of weird stuff going on in the murky depths of music streaming apps.
