J Mascis is touring!
This is really good news for us all.
I saw J Mascis, solo, opening for Sonic Youth years ago and it was amazing. I remember being astounded by the sheer lack of floor left below, covered entirely by pedals, cords and instruments.
Mascis last visited Aus for the 2011/2012 Falls Festival and a run at Sydney Festival. Now, the Dinosaur Jr frontman and all ‘round legend (and weirdo) is heading back in February him again, in support of his latest album Tied to a Star. He’ll be playing at Adelaide’s Garden of Unearthly Delights, as well as playing alongside Mogwai at the Perth International Arts Festival.
I highly, highly recommend attending one of these shows!
