Watch Kendrick Lamar Bring Out Isaiah Rashad at FYF Fest

The ground is beginning to thaw here in Australia, but summer is still kicking on over in the States, and with the sunshine comes the festivals. FYF Fest began yesterday in Los Angeles, with crowds enjoying sets from Tame Impala, Explosions in the Sky, Vince Staples, Kelela and more. The most anticipated headline set of the day was undoubtedly one Kendrick Lamar. No stranger to festival surprises, Lamar has popped up at other festivals across the season, most notably at Coachella, where he appeared during sets from Ice Cube and Anderson Paak . This time, however, it was he who brought out the surprise guests, welcoming fellow TDE artist Isaiah Rashad to the stage to dish out a high-energy rendition of Rashad’s new single Free Lunch, taken from his forthcoming album The Sun’s Tirade, due out September 2.

Watch fan-shot footage below, and get ready for what’s bound to be another top shelf release from TDE, who have already delivered two of hip-hop’s best albums of the year in Lamar’s untitled, unmastered and ScHoolboy Q‘s Blank Face.

Listen to Rashad’s latest single, Park, released last week ahead of this Friday’s album. You can also check out the album artwork below!

FYF Fest continues today with performances from LCD Soundsystem, Grace Jones, Father John Misty, Young Thug (aka Jefferey), Banks & Steelz, Mac Demarco and many more.
