Primus’ Drummer Suffers Second Heart Attack

Primus drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander is recovering after suffering his second heart attack in two years.

His first scare came in 2014, when the drummer underwent open heart surgery after suffering a triple bypass. Taking to Instagram to share the news, Alexander assured fans that he was safe and pleaded with them to tell their loved ones how much they mean to them. “I was overwhelmed with sadness, not because of that fact that I could die, but because I would have to say goodbye to my family.

“It can happen at any moment, and remember IT WILL HAPPEN ONE DAY…enjoy the days you have with them…we are all here for a short time.”

Alexander has been in and out of the group since 1989, but appeared behind the skins on the groups 2014 LP Primus & The Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble.

However, his biggest claim to fame may be the fact that his band composed and played the theme for the legendary TV show South Park.

We wish Tim all the best, and hope for a speedy recovery.
