Insane Clown Posse Planning a March on Washington

Last week played host to the Gathering of the Juggalos, the annual event is one of the, uh, more crazy music festivals out there. With hip-hop and rock shows, wrestling, contests, games, and seminars with the artists.

During a seminar with Insane Clown Posse’s (ICP) Violent J, announcement that that ICP will lead their ‘Juggalo’ fans in a march on Washington DC next year. “In 2017, the weekend of September 17th, we need you,” J told the audience.

The march is in protest to the FBI’s decision to list Juggalos as a “loosely organised hybrid gang” in the FBI’s 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment. Insane Clown Posse later sued the federal police and the U.S. Justice Department in 2014 to make them remove the classification, but a federal judge dismissed the suit. The duo was granted a chance to appeal in September 2015.

“We’re gonna do a fucking march on Washington. They call the Juggalo World a movement, right? Well, let’s move!”

The march will start at the Lincoln Memorial, head down Constitution Avenue and end at the Washington Monument, where the duo and fans will, “explain to the world who the fuck we really are.”

“We don’t know what’s going to happen,” Violent J said. “We could totally embarrass ourselves, and there could be 25 people.” ICP will also be holding a free concert that weekend at Juffy Lube Live in Bristol, VA and a picnic for fans the day after the march.
