Plutonic Lab Releases New Single, Sliced Bread Ft. Notes To Self BBRC

Legendary Melbourne producer Plutonic Lab is in a generous mood this week, blessing us with his latest single Sliced Bread Feat. Notes To Self BBRC.

The song is the second taste of his forthcoming album Deep Above The Noise, his solo effort in 11 years, due out June 17th.

Dropping straight into an ominous groove, the beat leaves plenty of space to allow the vocals to cut through the sonic soundscape. From there, the song maintains a steady pulse before dropping into a fat breakdown to see the song home.

It’s glitchy, catchy and easy to follow. Listen to the song below.

The inclusion of the Toronto collective on the track adds a particularly exciting flavour, with the alternating MCs each bringing their own unique texture to the song.

Since his Codes Over Colours LP in 2005, the MC has released several remix albums and EPs, in addition to collaborating with the likes of Drapht, Hilltop Hoods and Speech Debelle.

Having picked up countless ARIA, Mercury and J Award nominations via his producing work with other artists over the past decade, it’s an exciting time to finally be hearing new music from the man himself.
