Chance The Rapper Announces European Dates – Australia is Next

Earlier this week, Chance the Rapper announced a string of US tour dates, promising that European and Australian dates would be next. He’s now announced the next leg, Europe and UK, with the poster stating that Australian dates are next. Considering the second leg was announced mere days after the first, we can hopefully look forward to Australian dates being announced in the next few days.

The European dates take place over a single week in mid-November, kicking off on the 11th in Denmark, and wrapping up in France on November 21, and includes support from one of my personal favourite upcoming artists, Samm Henshaw. His US tour ends on October 21, meaning the Australian dates will almost certainly take place between those dates, or in December.

Chance the Rapper’s new mixtape Coloring Book is without doubt one of the best releases of 2016 – not only has it furthered the infusion of soul and gospel into the hip-hop sound of 2016, but it spearheaded a campaign which has now successfully led to the Grammys changing their rules, so that they now allow stream and download-only releases to be eligible for awards.

I’m still hoping that Chance will be brought out on tour as support for Kanye West, who also recently announced his Saint Pablo tour, and is reportedly touring Australia before the end of the year.
