Motion City Soundtrack Announce Final Ever Australian Shows

Earlier this year, punk/emo legends Motion City Soundtrack announced that they were going on an indefinite hiatus. They’ve now cemented the news by announcing their last ever tour dates – so for those of us who lived, laughed and cried with them, as they soundtracked the pain and heartbreak of our teenage years, now’s your final chance.

The band’s last album, Panic Stations, came out in September 2015, and was to be their final release. In March, they released a statement saying,

“It has been a quiet winter for us. We’ve had some time at home after a very busy 2015. With this time, we’ve been able to think about the past, present, and future of Motion City Soundtrack. All of this thinking has lead to several conversations, and these conversations have lead us to a very bittersweet realization:

We have no idea what the future holds, but for now we are done.”

The band are expected to perform a career-spanning set from their six albums and eighteen years of existence, when they head down under for one last time this September.

The So Long Farewell tour will see Motion City Soundtrack visit Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with tickets available now from the band’s official website.
