Flight Facilities Share Intimate Tour Documentary

Flight Facilities have become one of the biggest names in dance music in Australia, and are slowly taking over the world with their blissful brand of pop that encapsulates everything from jazz to hip-hop. Last year the band took their 2014 debut album Down to Earth on a tour of the US with Owl EyesSurahn and Reggie Watts. Today, Red Bull TV shared their tour documentary, Flight Facilities: Across America that follows the boys around the country capturing the soaring highs, the lows and everything in between.

It starts off with band members Jimmy and Hugo packing their bags in Sydney before jetting off to the States. Immediately, you can tell they’re so likeable and humble despite being so hugely talented, and the documentary allows a more intimate insight to the relationship between these two “regular” guys who are travelling all over the world performing for thousands of fans, still feeling the pressure to fill venues and put on a good show.

No doubt they managed to do that after their year was spent headlining the Red Bull Music Academy Weekender in Sydney, playing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, headlining Laneway Festival and ripping up Splendour in the Grass. We all know how epic their live show is.

Jimmy says, “We’ve never been the top of the top and I don’t feel like we will ever. We’ll just have our niche crowd or audience and that’s more than enough. I mean I never thought that we’d be here, now, so anything further is pretty cool.”
