Flume Shares New Track And Announces Album Release Date

Oh hell yeah! Flume just made our Friday a whole lot better with two awesome bits of news coming from his camp.

Firstly, he’s shared a brand new track- and it’s up for free download. Titled Wall Fuck, it’s loops upon loops upon grimy as fuck bass and a crazy break down. Definitely one of his more experimental tracks, it’s a stark difference from his previously released tracks lately, Never Be Like You and Smoke & Retribution, and is also notably lacking vocals. Not that that was ever an issue for Flume, as his instrumental tracks were some of the stand outs on his debut album back in 2012. Check it out and download it here.

It doesn’t stop there though. If you, like me, have been pumping Never Be Like You and Smoke & Retribution since they popped up online and boogied up a storm at his Laneway set, you can finally rejoice. May 27th will be the day we can finally hear Flume’s sophomore album, Skin, in all it’s highly anticipated glory. Sharing the news today in his newsletter, real name Harley Stretten wrote, “I’m in LA this week preparing for some shows at Coachella. I wanted to give you this news before anyone since you’ve been signed up to the Flume newsletter for a while.”

Thank you, music gods, for this fantastic news. TGIF!
