News From The 6: Drake Reveals More About New Album

With less that a week to go until Views From The 6 drops, Drake has continued to enhance what could be the biggest album advertising/ hype campaign in music history.

Last night Drake released the album cover, a simple photograph of The 6 God sitting atop the Toronto’s iconic CN Tower.

The image was released via Twitter with the caption, “to the city I love and the people in it.” Drake also told fans at one of his OVO pop-ups shops that Views will have “like 20 songs on there for y’all to enjoy.”

Despite the unexciting album cover, fans remain fixated as the Views release date of this Friday is in sight. Future, who teamed up with Drake for What a Time to Be Alive, has joining Drake’s ‘hype brigade’ and has hinted on Twitter that he might make appearance on Views. “VIEWS 29” was Future’s first tweet, the 29th being Friday’s date and the current release date for Views. Future then followed his tweet with two more:

and then:

With the success of What a Time to Be Alive, it was only a matter of time before they teamed up again, perhaps Future will feature on Views (open mouth emoji).

Or… perhaps they are going to tour together.

The image above was posted (most likely accidentally) by Live Nation. The image’s life was short and it was taken down promptly. Luckily, MissInfo was able to capture the above screenshot.

Drake is set for his Summer Sixteen tour in a couple of months and now we potentially have Future joining him, at least for the Detroit leg of the tour.

There was a countdown on the page for when tickets for the Detroit show will become available for purchase. If there is truth to the rumour, not only will you be able to listen to Views From The 6 on Friday, but people willing to travel to Detroit will also be able to buy tickets for a collab show. Detroit residents should try and control their excitement as the image on the poster likens the upcoming show to last year’s Jungle tour, which also featured both Drake and Future.

There is a lot riding on Friday’s date, so fans will just need to make it through this week and see what happens.
