M83 Returns With New Song, New Album And Australian Tour

What a big day for M83! Not only has he triumphantly returned with a brand new single, he has also shared the exciting news that a new album is on the way as well. But it doesn’t stop there, as Australian fans are in for a treat this May as he is also set to return Down Under with a full national tour. When it rains, it pours hey?

Do It, Try it is the first cut from his forthcoming album, Junk, which is set to be released on April 8th. Said to be the most experiemental M83 album yet, real name Anthony Gonzalez said of his new record, “All my albums have layers of eclecticism to them, but with this album I wanted to take that even further,” and this first single is a perfect example of that. Honky tonk pianos, echoing vocals, explosive synths and a liberating hook, it sounds almost tongue-in-cheek as he delves further into the strange realms he flirted with in his previous album, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, but it’s an exciting release that has us REALLY keen to hear more.

To celebrate the release of Junk, M83 will be hitting Australian theatres throughout May on a huge national tour. You can check the dates below:
