Disturbed Finally Set To Come Back To Australia With New Tour Dates

Not to be swayed by the cancellation of their polarising headline slot at the now cancelled Soundwave Festival (RIP), alt-metal pioneers Disturbed have announced a string of arena tour dates for this November.

Disturbed last graced our shores in 2011 as part of the Music As A Weapon tour, which saw the bands playing stadiums alongside metalcore heavy weights Trivium and As I Lay Dying.

Thankfully, fans can expect a more diverse support act this time round with folk/jazz/psych/classical/punk/shoegaze/prog/any genre you can think of-metal act 12 Foot Ninja joining the band for all dates.

However, don’t head along to these gigs if you want to add some metal to your Snapchat story.

At the band’s most recent concert in Dallas, front man David Draiman called out one unlucky fan for being on her phone before the band’s encore.

“What’s so important going on in the world that you need to be texting the entire fucking show?” asked Draiman, whilst ironically having his rant captured on another fans phone for YouTube purposes.

The woman in question, one Shannon Pardue, was reportedly texting her 14 year old daughter between the main set and the encore in order to calm her down due to a hailstorm, Dallas Observer reports.

“At first it ticked me off, but then I just wanted to go away. I told my husband ‘The most embarrassing thing in my life just happened to me.'”

Watch the awkward footage below.

Disturbed will be touring in support of their latest album Immortalized.

With a back catalogue spanning over 5 albums, expect things to get real heavy, real quickly.

Mosh lords unite!
