As announced yesterday, Prince, has announced an Australian tour.
It starts in ten days.
Yep, ten days. February 2016. Prince.
It’s unsurprising really, in the day and age of leaked albums, botched premieres, endless last minute title changes and so on. But it’s still pretty insane; this is Prince we’re talking about.
As you probably know, Prince recently performed some of his first ever solo concerts titled A Piano And A Microphone, in which, according to reports, he performs real deep cuts and a completely unique career-spanning, speaks openly and intimately with his audience, and performs with nothing but – you guessed it – a piano and a microphone.
Off the back of the Piano and a Microphone residency at his own Paisley Park Estate, news came yesterday that Prince would be visiting Australia on this tour. His first Australian tour in nearly four years, the full dates and venues have now been revealed.
Prince will perform four shows in Melbourne and four in Sydney, before heading over to Auckland.
Tickets for the Australian dates go on sale at midday AEDT on Tuesday, Feb 9, and the Auckland date goes on sale on Thursday February 11, midday NZDT.
In order to prevent fans from scalping tickets, fans will be limited to purchase just two at a time. Physical tickets are the only available option, and photo identification will be needed to collect them.

Tuesday, February 16: State Theatre, Melbourne
Wednesday, February 17: State Theatre, Melbourne
Saturday, February 20: Opera House, Sydney
Sunday, February 21: State Theatre, Sydney
Wednesday, February 24: ASB Theatre, Auckland
