Lianne La Havas Drops New Track And A Live Album

Lianne La Havas has been making serious waves ever since she dropped her debut LP, Is Your Love Big Enough?, a few years ago to critical acclaim. From there, she toured with Bon Iver and featured on a couple of Prince tracks. As it turns out, The Purple One is a huge Lianne La Havas fan. Last year, the London-based singer finally followed Is Your Love Big Enough? up with her second album, Blood, for which she’s earned herself a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

With all the accolades Blood and La Havas’ live show garnered since the mid-2015 release, it’s unsurprising that a live album has been announced. Due to drop in a couple of days on February 12 while she’s touring with Leon BridgesBlood Solo will feature five songs from the original Blood album, along with a new track Fairytale.

The new song was premiered on Zane Lowe‘s Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music and places La Havas’ voice front and centre. Singing over a guitar, La Havas weaves a tale of what is essentially, an anti-fairytale relationship full of storms and tidal waves, with La Havas making it clear that she doesn’t “believe in fairytales.”
