Brisbane lady crew Hot Chicks With Big Brains have made a name for themselves by finding sistas who are doin’ it for themselves and giving them the spotlight they deserve. Focussing on independent ladies pursuing their dreams with ambition and killer style, Bri, Grace and Anna have been steadily killing it for a while now, so it’s incredibly exciting to see their hardwork finally come to fruition- their first issue is finally ready!
To celebrate the launch of Issue #1, these three ladies are throwing a party very fitting for the occasion. Not only will artwork by local artists Filthyratbag, Leecee Carmichael and Crapuli be on display, but attendees will also be privy to a special show by Brisbane’s finest, MKO from MKO SUN. Having just dropped her astounding EP late last year, MKO SUN has become one of the best live acts in her city, and the intimate setting of Brisbane’s Powerhouse will provide the perfect backdrop for her to unleash her off-kilter and unpredictable but oh so enjoyable brand of electronica. If that wasn’t enough, Sezzo Snot will also be in attendance, commanding the d floor before and after the performance.
Drinks and food will be on offer, courtesy of Black Pearl Epicure and Espresso Train, with everything set to kick off from 6pm on Saturday, March 12. There will only be a limited run of this first issue, so it’s in your best interest to get along early to take full advantage of everything that’s on offer.
