Following the sudden spark of motivation that has struck counterpart and labelmate Kanye West, newly appointed President of G.O.O.D. Music Pusha T has whet the appetite for what 2016 has in store for the esteemed collection of artists that comprise everyone’s favourite rap label.

In an interview with STASHEDPusha has reflected on the action-packed fortnight that has seen Kanye deliver two new tracks in a revived G.O.O.D. Fridays; Real Friends and No More Parties in LA.

“‘Real Friends’ and ‘No More Parties in L.A.’ have an aesthetic that is just real rap. It’s authentic. The purists are going to love everything that we’re doing.”

Looking forward to the year ahead, President Pusha has assured fans that G.O.O.D. will continue to be a source of inspiration for music and popular culture.

“G.O.O.D. Music is the culture so I feel like this year – and every year – is the year for us. I mean if you look at the culture and what it’s doing, they’re always taking something from our pot. Whether it’s sneakers, fashion, music – I mean let’s just be honest. So it’ll definitely be a great year for us.”

In what was arguably the most exciting news to emerge from the interview, Push spoke of his excitement to provide a sequel to Cruel Summer, an album that provided a plethora of memorable tracks, from Mercy to Clique, also featuring the likes of R. Kelly, 2 Chainz, Kid Cudiand Big Sean.

“What I would like to have happen is another Cruel Summer.

Pusha is of course coming off the release of his own release, with King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude serving as an engrossing introduction prior to the release of King Push, an album that is itself slated for a 2016 release.
