Although he was arguably the biggest artist in the world throughout 2016, fans are still waiting for Drake to drop his long-rumored Views From The 6.
Now, Drake has posted an Instagram video of himself playing ping pong while taking a break at a recording studio. While admittedly the video doesn’t actually tell us anything about the album or what else he may be working on, the fact that he’s in the studio indicates that he’s working on it – most likely (or hopefully, at least,) putting the final touches on the album.
Although 6 is still in the works, Drake has hardly been idle. 2015 was a huge year for the Toronto artist , who dropped two full mixtapes last year – If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and Future-collab What A Time To Be Alive, both of which came out with almost no fanfare or notice whatsoever.
As Complex points out, 6 could be dropping any moment, if you happen to follow the meaning in his lyrics. 30 For 30 contains the not-so-cryptic line “But just know it will be January in no time.” A few days ago he posted a couple photos to Instagram with the captions “16”, with many fans taking that to mean we might see a January 16 release.
