50 Cent Announces New Mixtape

50 Cent has announced he will release a new mixtape entitled Kanan Reloaded this year.

The release is the follow up to his acclaimed Kanan Tape which was released in December of last year, after initially being scheduled for a Thanksgiving release. 50 took to his Instagram page to announce the news over the weekend. However the release date and much of the details have yet to be revealed by the G Unit leader.

It seems it will definitely arrive before his Street Immortal album. His sixth studio album has long since been delayed after it was originally slated for a release sometime late last year. In May last year, he released the first single from the album Get Low, but since then the trail has gone cold.

The 40 year old has had a hugely successful career so far, having sold more than 30 million records worldwide, while also branching out into the entrepreneurial and movie businesses. The rapper will be hoping to put 2015 behind him though after he found himself constantly in the news for all the wrong reasons. He filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, with the rapper alleged to have debts totalling $32m, after numerous business ventures went awry and there was also the trouble he found himself in in the courts after he was found to have illegally distributed a sex tape.

The woman who featured in the video, Lavonia Leviston, subsequently sued him for $5m in damages. Leviston was the former girlfriend of fellow rapper Rick Ross who has had a running beef with 50 ever since 2009, which shows no signs of ending. Despite his reported financial problems though he failed to show the strains as he continued with his lavish lifestyle in the face of the trouble.
